  • Do assume regulation, not misbehavior

  • Do understand that joy can be loud

  • Do give space, physical and emotional

Don’ts

  • Don’t stare, whisper or comment

  • Don’t try to correct or touch the child (unless there is an immediate danger)

  • Don’t suggest to the caregiver how to parent
