Our Model

TRSF provides its services through The Rising Start Academic and Vocational Center for Neurodiverse Students & Young Adults (The Center). The Center offers three Core Programs: The Middle & High School Academic Program; The Young Adults (22-35) Independent Living Program; and The TRS After School Program. Each of these programs offer courses, workshops, and "labs" from five specially designed curricula: Academic Studies; Career & Vocational Prep Studies; Culinary & Hospitality Studies; Life & Social Skills Studies (including Social Skills Club); and Music and Arts Studies. A critical component contributing to the successful outcomes for our students and young adults in the various Rising Start programs is the systematic application of evidenced based, behavioral interventions (ABA) in each of our academic and vocational programs by our BCBA Director and trained staff.

Customized Studies Curricula

Each of our TRS Customized Studies Curricula is composed of various courses, workshops, labs, and topics specially designed to meet the academic and/or vocational needs of our students and young adults. The TRS team will work with each parent, student, and young adult to design their educational, career and vocational goals.

Core Programs

Students enrolled in our Core Programs will engage in meaningful academic curriculum courses & workshops to pursue college studies, other post-secondary academic programs, or more vocationally oriented post-secondary opportunities.
